Many of those that come to Katie Blair House or the Flora O'Neil apartments, have experienced serious abuse as children, and as adults.  Most have endured childhood sexual abuse, and domestic violence.  The trauma often results in mental illnesses and self-medicating through drugs and alcohol.  Yet, the women who find Bethsaida Community, have come to a point in their lives where they realize they need help and support to change for the better.
