Bill Turner has been
a strong supporter and
advocate for Bethsaida Community, Inc. Bill and AT&T have now
helped Bethsaida build 2 computer labs for residents and helped our
women receive computer training. AT&T volunteers have also
taken on painting and clean up projects for Bethsaida. Bill has a long history
of involvement in the community having served as the AT&T’s External
Affair’s Director for the past decade. Bill has a 28 year history
with AT&T having served in several capacities including Outside
Network, Finance, Headquarter Administration and most recently in
Legislative & Government Affairs. Bill has held several leadership
roles including those as Chair of the Board for the Greater Mystic
Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Board for the regional Chamber of
Commerce of Eastern Connecticut and where he continues to advise its
Executive Board in his roles as a Trustee. Bill currently serves as
a Board Member to the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce and the Windham
Chamber of Commerce. During the past several years, Bill has been
a Corporator for the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, Chair of the
Mystic Outdoor Art Festival, advisor for Goodspeed Musicals.
He serves on the Three River's Foundation Board, and is
a member of the New London Development Corporation and Southeastern
Connecticut Enterprise Region known as SECTER. The Red Hot Strutters are based out of
Griswold CT. This dynamic, fun, and committed
group of women has provided volunteer support and
donations to several area non-profit agencies including: The Red Hot Strutters have given overwhelming support to
the Katie Blair House women, and HWDT women by providing
donations of clothes, health and beauty products, and
personal items.
