Stacey Honowitz - prosecutor, author, and legal analyst on national night TV
Stacey Honowitz is a twenty-two year veteran of the Florida State Attorney’s Office who specializes in sex crimes and child abuse cases. She has provided legal analysis for the Larry King Live Show, CNN Headline News, Good Morning America, Dateline NBC, CBS News, 48 Hours, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News and Court Television. Stacey has appeared on several national talk shows giving legal expertise: Dr. Phil, Anderson Cooper, Sean Hannity, Geraldo Rivera, Bill O'Reilly, Nancy Grace, MSNBC – Morning Joe, Dan Abram, Jane Velez-Mitchell, and Montel Williams.
As a prosecution attorney and national commentator, Stacey has seen some of the country’s worst crimes of violence against women and children. For years, she has worked to empower women and children who have been violated, and their families to navigate the criminal justice system. She has taught them to openly communicate about the sex abuse crimes committed against them.
To help protect children, and help those that are fighting the manipulated and forced silencing strategies of perpetrators, Stacey has authored the book “My Privates are Private”. Through her created character, Betsy Boodle—a spirited, and spunky little girl, the book helps kids speak up about molestation. The book takes a difficult subject, and makes it a fun and rhyming way of letting kids know to tell someone if they are being touched inappropriately.
